Dear Friends of State Parks, Inc. Member or Partner,
We welcome you to nominate yourself and/or other qualified individuals to serve on the Friends of State Parks Board of Directors. We are looking to fill two vacant board positions, and the successful applicants will complete serving the 2024-2026 term that is already underway. Vetted nominees will be included in the slate of board candidates voted on by the Friends of State Park Board at their next meeting on April 26 of this year. Once elected, the successful candidates will begin serving immediately in terms that end in October of 2026.
Board members attend quarterly meetings (virtual and in-person) to provide guidance, feedback, and steer the direction of Friends of State Parks. Board members will also serve as liaisons to the individual state parks and park support groups, serve on committees, and are expected to be good ambassadors for the Friends of State Parks.

From all regions across North Carolina:
With a passion for conservation and for North Carolina State Parks, Recreation Areas and Natural Areas
With expertise in conservation, environmental education, marketing and communications, program management and evaluation, public policy, finance and technology
With experience on a nonprofit board, as a volunteer, or commitment to other community service.
